Your Part in It:
This role will participate in various HR projects in a fast paced and continuously evolving environment. This role will be located in Long Beach, California.
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER
What the Job Entails:

• Responsible for collaborating with the entire HR team on continuous improvement of HR policies and ensuring that they are implemented consistently.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations, as well as recommended best practices; review policies and practices as needed;
• Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
• Assist with onboarding new employees
• Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
• Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Stay abreast of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law.
• Provide support and guidance to the human resources team, management and other staff when complex, specialized and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and perform routine duties under difficult circumstances.
• Offer advice and suggestions to employees and managers.
• Carry out exit interviews.
• Inform employees of policies and procedures and guide them when needed.
• Assist in planning events such as Holiday parties, and employee appreciation activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field
• SHRM-CP a plus
• HCMS experience preferably with ADP and Workday
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Human Resource role
• Extensive experience with California Employment & Labor Laws
• Understands how to interpret and explain benefits
• Warehouse industry experience, OSHA certified is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Outgoing personality and ability to work independently
• Able to work with sensitive & confidential information
• Individual able to lead by example (Follow HR policies and procedures)
• Customer service oriented
• Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills and proactive individual
• Eager to learn and passionate about HR
• Travel to other California Traffic Tech offices up to 20%
• Travel to other Traffic Tech offices as needed

This is a full-time permanent position from Monday to Friday from 6AM-5PM located at 2300 Redondo Ave, Long Beach, CA, 90809
