About the Role:
This position is responsible for supporting the HR department and front office in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. Key duties include but not limited to, Team Member program coordination, engagement activities and event support, payroll and benefits assistance, direct labor recruitment, data entry and general front office administration.
What You Will Do:
- Administer all Team Member programs including but not limited to uniform and safety shoe program, monthly anniversary cards, and the Team Member service award program.
- Responsible for coordinating Team Member life event programs including bereavement flowers and new baby gifts.
- Coordinate Team Member recognition program (CHAMP) and provide monthly communications on winning submissions
- Responsible to support the Team Member Employee Engagement Roadmap in the coordination, planning and execution of all Company activities and events (i.e. holiday party, summer picnic, eating socials etc.) in addition to supporting monthly wellness initiatives and communications.
- Responsible for administering the internal recruitment program for all hourly positions - this includes preparing job posting, scheduling and facilitating respective testing/interviews, job analysis, preparation of successful and unsuccessful email notifications, processing of background testing and data processing.
- Support the fulfillment of short and long-term labor planning requirements, in addition to holiday staffing produced by the Labor and Factory Planning team.
- Temporary agency invoice reconciliation to ensure hours billed equate to hours paid.
- Facilitate exit interviews for all voluntary exits - hourly and salary and track data.
- Support hourly step/annual increase process.
- Support the onboarding of all new hires including both salary and hourly Team Members, including the creation of new hire packages, creating badges, assigning lockers and other access as needed.
- Perform a variety of administrative functions in support of the Human Resources department such as coordinating annual HR mailouts to Team Members (achievement letter, birthday cards, etc.); Team Member bulletin board maintenance, data entry and filing.
- Perform a variety of office administrative duties such as conference room management, visitor invitation letter preparation, breakroom management, assisting visitors/contractors with sign-in and paperwork, team catering, security access badge management and assist with travel booking.
- Required to provide general payroll and benefits assistance to Team Member including answering any inquiries and questions, in addition to providing support on the annual benefit enrollment process.
- Assist in the coordination of global initiatives including but not limited to Annual Compliance Training and Employee Engagement Survey Rollout.
- Maintain data in the HRIS system by making all relevant and approved data changes, while ensuring a high degree of accuracy
- Responsible to help coordinate annual plant leadership offsite meeting including arranging meeting space, catering and activity reservations, set up and take down of meeting room.
- Required to liaise and maintain close working relationships with various departments and partners including Operations and HR.
What You Need:
- Minimum secondary school diploma with preference of College Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent work experience
- 2-3 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing operation
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally (both verbal and written)
- Highly developed organization skills, including outstanding attention to details and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Must be capable to adapt and adjust to changing needs and priorities quickly
- Strong in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Customer-service oriented style
- Extremely comfortable with access to confidential data
- Excellent execution/delivery skills
