This position is part of our Signal & Power Solutions segment; Connection Systems business unit located in Brookhaven, MS.

Summary (About this Position):

The Aptiv Connection Systems team is seeking a highly organized individual for the HR Administrator at our Brookhaven, Mississippi location. The HR Administrator is responsible to support the HR department with general administrative tasks including employee record management, attendance, orientation, communication, and various other tasks as assigned. This requires the individual to deal with highly confidential, sensitive information; and ensure compliance of all related processes.

Your Role (i.e., Key Job Responsibilities)

  • Provide support to one or more functional areas of Human Resources such as recruitment, HRIS, records, employee relations, compensation, benefits, health, safety and training.
  • Assist employees with questions on human resources policies and procedures.
  • Verify accuracy and completion of employee forms to support data integrity.
  • Process various employment documents, including informational and other confidential forms and records, and identifies opportunities to streamline or improve practices.
  • Update employee information, transfers, wage changes, etc. in Workday HRIS in a timely manner
  • Maintain files in audit ready state; ie, organized, adhere to records retention requirements, etc.
  • Manage the hourly internal job posting process.
  • Create and update facility communications and touchpoints (monitors, posters, etc.)
  • Gather and publish positive spotlights for employees and the facility
  • Develop and maintain HR Teams site to ensure information is disseminated timely and accurately
  • Collect information and prepare reports regarding various employee relations issues
  • Assist with plant-wide events, build team support, and drive success
  • Work directly with food vendors and assist with setting up meals for various events
  • Mail and track correspondence with employees, attorneys, etc.
  • Assist with employee leave administration
  • Support and participate in projects and programs as needed

Your Required Background (i.e. Must Haves):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years human resources or relevant experience providing administrative support
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality
  • Excellent administrative and organization skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage many different projects to completion

Your Preferred Qualifications (i.e. Nice to Haves):

  • Associate's degree
  • HR Certification
  • Experience in Workday, ADP, or other HRIS system
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience working in a unionized environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Travel

  • Limited travel may be required
