We are looking for a Human Resources and Accounting Administrator to join the Business Operations practice in our St. Louis, MO office. As a member of CLA's BizOps practice, you will be a member of the CLA outsourced accounting service team and will work directly with a local nonprofit client.
In this role, you will work independently at the client location, supported and supervised by a CLA Controller and client CFO. You will have accounting and human resource responsibilities including reporting, compliance and special projects.

Job Description
- Work in conjunction with CFO to administer personnel policies and implement HR initiatives and processes
- Prepare payroll, accounts payable and monthly journal entries
- Accounting and human resources reporting and compliance filings
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
- 2+ years accounting experience
- Relevant experience in non-profit or government organization is strongly desired.
- Aptitude to develop a thorough working knowledge of accounting software and systems
- Proficiency with applicable software (including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).
Skills/Knowledge
- Sharpness toward technology and bettering processes and reporting
- Affinity for human resources and compliance as a key part of responsibilities
- Strong organization skills/goal orientation/self-motivation.
- Ability to handle pressure in a positive professional manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Communication that is clear, concise, and considerate of the needs of others.
