Summary
This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Human Resources (HR) Branch; Fleet and Family Readiness Support Services; Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC); Millington, TN. Incumbent serves as a Headquarters (HQ) HR Assistant providing clerical and administrative support in a wide variety of human resources activities and program.

Qualifications
A qualified candidate possesses the following:
- Two years of specialized experience providing a variety of Human Resources administrative support related assignments in one or more of the following functional areas: 1) classification; 2) recruitment; 3) employee relations; 4) labor relations; 5) benefits; or 6) retirement).
- Knowledge of and skill in applying general HR theories, concepts, and/or practices to perform a variety of support related assignments.
- Knowledge of formats, punctuation, grammar, and clerical steps to process and prepare correspondence and documents in an accurate manner.
- Knowledge of Federal records procedures and regulations (e.g., documentation retention requirements, OPF structure).
- Ability to provide general advice and assistance on interpretation of basic HR policy and regulations related to the specific HR functional area to which assigned.
- Skill in the use of a Human Resources Information System (e.g., SAPHR, Defense Civilian Personnel Data System).
- Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Ability to prepare clear, concise, and technically sound reports related to the specific HR functional area to which assigned.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

This position does not have a positive education requirement.

Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.
Some positions have special requirements. Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period. Participation in Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer within the first 30 days of employment is required.
