The Job

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated college hire to join our Human Resources team as a Human Resources Associate. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates with a passion for HR and a desire to kickstart their career in a fast-paced and innovative SaaS environment.

As part of Own Company's Summer 2024 Emerging Talent Program, the start date for this role will be June 3rd, 2024. We at Own prioritize a learning environment, and through our Emerging Talent Program will be offering early career hires a comprehensive development program. Through lunch and learns, workshops and events featuring internal and external speakers, new hires will enhance their understanding of the SaaS industry while refining communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

Your Day-to-Day Role

Recruitment Support:

    • Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate assessments
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and participate in campus recruitment events

Onboarding and Orientation:

    • Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, ensuring a smooth transition for employees
    • Conduct orientation sessions to familiarize new hires with company policies, procedures, and culture

Employee Relations:

    • Act as a point of contact for employees, addressing queries related to HR policies and procedures
    • Assist in the resolution of employee relations issues and contribute to fostering a positive work environment

HR Administration:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with legal requirements
    • Support HR projects and initiatives, including policy updates, training programs, and employee engagement activities

Benefits Administration:

    • Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks
    • Collaborate with benefits vendors to resolve employee inquiries and ensure seamless benefits delivery

Your Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) is a plus

Important Details

This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work 3 days per week minimum out of our New Jersey office to maximize collaboration and interaction with sales and business teams. Travel to events may be required.
