About The Role:The People Team at Notion exists to help build a generational company that enables people to do their best & most meaningful work. Weβre looking for a talented Employee Relations professional to partner with our Engineering, Product, and Design Leadership teams. This role operates at all altitudes - one minute youβll be building a people strategy with a member of our Executive Team, the next youβll be coaching an employee. The perfect fit is someone who likes to move quickly, wear lots of hats, and embraces change.
What You'll Achieve:- Build deep partnerships with leadership team, and serve as a conduit between the Business and the People Team. Advise on, create, and execute people strategies that drive the business forward.
- Consult with leadership team on Talent Planning, Org Design, Retention Strategies, and Change Management.
- Partner with People Ops to support the 360 performance review process: manager calibrations, facilitate training sessions, and host office hours.
- Consult with Managers and ICs on performance management issues, conduct timely performance evaluations, and perform exit interviews.
- Partner with Legal to ensure we stay compliant by adhering to internal HR policies, procedures, and external laws and regulations.
- Advise and train managers on employee relations best practices and strategies for managing within the law.
- Understanding of conflict resolution and negotiation techniques.
- Solutions-driven with an analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to remain tactful and calm in all situations.
- Highly adaptable and will thrive in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment.
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Understanding of state and federal laws concerning labor relations.
- Passion for process and policy improvements!

- Experience working with Engineering, Product, and Design leaders.
- Worked at fast-growing company previously.
