Job Summary
The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an experienced Strategic People Partner (Human Resources Business Partner) to join our People Operations organization to serve as a trusted advisor for our Engineering and Technology Group. The Strategic People Partner will be responsible for designing and delivering people and organizational strategies and programs to optimize people performance and achieve organizational business objectives. This role reports directly to the Senior Leader of the Engineering and Technology Strategic People Partners, with dotted line reporting to Engineering and Technology client group. Some travel may be required.

What You'll Be Doing
- Develop insightful business assessments to provide creative, effective, timely, and prioritized People Operations (Human Resources) solutions
- Design integrated people and organizational strategies and solutions by leveraging and partnering with People Operations Centers of Expertise (COEs)
- Lead and execute our people process' and programs, including workforce planning, talent review & succession planning, diversity & inclusion initiatives, employee engagement, retention strategy & initiatives, performance management, compensation planning, and others.
- Build strong business client leadership relationships and create effective partnerships across People Ops COEs, Finance, Legal, and other organizations
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to managers (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Identify talent issues before they impact the business
- Continually assess needs to optimize the engagement and performance of our people
- Leverage analytics to develop people and organizational solutions, proactively mitigate risk, and enable informed decisions
- Coach leaders and managers, and consult on organizational design, change, and culture
- Develop employee engagement strategies for optimizing morale, productivity, and performance
- Collaborate with leaders to accelerate and maximize development of emerging talent, and create robust leadership succession planning
- Support and enable leaders to make informed talent decisions and to hold their organizations accountable for results. Offer forthright and thoughtful feedback and coaching
- Incorporate best practices and stay abreast of HR trends and benchmarks to optimally position our workforce and company
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related discipline (Organization Development, Management, Business, Psychology, or related field)
- Typically, 5 or more years of prior HR experience
- Experience influencing at all levels of organization and developing strong internal network to gain support for key initiatives
- Demonstrated strategic orientation, business acumen, problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience navigating cultural and business sensitivities to champion diversity and inclusion, performance, and employee engagement
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- MS, MA, MBA or like advanced degree in Business, Human Resource Management, Organization Development, Industrial Psychology, Management, or related field
- Strong track record as HR Business Partner and trusted advisor
- Prior experience supporting engineering/technical population predominantly comprised of advanced degrees
- Unquestionable integrity and trustworthiness
- Demonstrated ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization
- Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to act with a sense of urgency; self-starter; results driven
- Ability to rapidly gain credibility
- Ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems and determine the best course of action
- Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks/client groups
We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$85,000 - $100,000 - $115,000
