Human Resources Business Partner
Job Description
We are currently hiring a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to be located in Fort Worth, Texas. The HRBP will support the NA Commercial client group to unleash the full potential of their teams through execution of people strategies that support Alcon's mission: "to help people see brilliantly". In this role, the HRBP will contribute to solving complex organizational challenges through people-related solutions. They will deliver on Alcon foundational principles (customer, innovation & people) to drive value creation for Alcon in the areas of people, organization and culture. They will foster an inclusive work environment and serve as an advocate of Alcon's values & behaviors.
On a regular basis, this role partners with managers to deliver core HR services and ensures an optimal management of HR processes and associate experience, with a focus on people, organization and culture. The HRBP must have in-depth knowledge of top talent and provide coaching to managers to help them accelerate talent readiness. They will collaborate with the Human Resources Centers of Excellence (COEs) to execute strategies for how we attract, hire, develop, and retain world-class talent. The HRBP will also execute programs to support Alcon associates, including compensation, performance, diversity and inclusion, as well as talent development initiatives.
The HRBP will maintain strong relations with Alcon leaders as well as the HR Leadership Team. They will support the HR COEs with the design of global HR initiatives and programs. They should work with local HRBPs to understand the unique environments of the global team and partner with managers and leaders to address potential issues in a proactive manner. The HRBP will use data and metrics to influence their advice to business leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- In partnership with people leaders, delivers Alcon's core HR services and ensures an optimal associate experience.
- Understands employment laws and regulations at a high-level and works with local HRBPs and employment counsel as needed.
- Partners with the HR COEs to support the design and roll out corporate programs.
- Contributes to complex HR projects.
- Drives business success by coaching and advising teams on associate experience initiatives, such as Associate Experience Dashboard, Recognition programs, etc.
- Ensures timely execution of all people-related processes in the assigned business.
- Coaches business leaders on all HR-related topics (e.g., change management, talent management and career development, etc.), with guidance from HR leadership as needed.
- Contributes to high-quality talent bench through selection process, equitable compensation practices and adequate talent development.
- Supports diagnostic intervention and problem resolution strategies to contribute HR point of view to business issues.
Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- 2 Years of Relevant Experience
- Work hours: Standard, Monday - Friday
- Travel Requirements: Up to 20%
