Are you the type of person who is passionate about attracting, developing, and retaining top talent to drive the organization forward? In this role you will work cross functionally with team members and managers to support business results and support our people across the organization. We're looking for relationally driven individuals who are able to carry the Vermeer culture forward through influence and impact for our team members.
What You'll Do
1. Provide customer support for managers, team members and other key stakeholders on HR related topics. Understand team members' opinions, monitor the effect of business decisions on people, and advise leaders on addressing team members' concerns. Coaches and influences leaders regarding trends involving workforce, retention and regulatory trends impacting the business.
2. Analyze and respond to HR trends to drive strength in team member performance and build talent to meet future business needs.
3. Apply team member relations and employment practices in order to create a positive, ethical, effective work environment. Actively integrate HR practices and processes within the business and ensure that they are administered fairly and consistently. Provide insight to influence HR strategy's alignment with business needs.
4. Partner with Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Total Rewards and HR Operations to identify current and future workforce needs. Identify areas of skill gap that impact the success of the business, assist in narrowing the gap, and assist with recruiting and developing talent in the organization.
5. Ensure compliance with regulatory issues including, but not limited to, Fair Labor Standards Act, Americans with Disability Act, Family Medical Leave, Affirmative Action, Equal Opportunity Act, etc.
6. Actively participate and complete timely execution of projects as determined in the annual HR plan/strategy.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor degree with a major in Human Resources or Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of four years of progressively responsible HR experience preferred.
- Knowledge of manufacturing industry and demonstrated business acumen to understand the business and processes and the link between enterprise-wide HR strategy and business strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage change, influence and assist organizational change initiatives in support of business strategies.
- Proven understanding and application of HR disciplines (compensation & benefits, team member relations, performance management, regulatory compliance).
- Ability to consult and influence decisions using sound judgment and data analysis to effectively drive positive business outcomes and resolve complex issues.
- Ability to engage, inspire, and influence people and champion team member needs.
- Ensures HR services are provided as appropriate to team members, identifies new opportunities where HR can add value, and maintains leading-edge knowledge of HR issues.
- Ability to manage projects and develop clear, actionable steps from overall strategy.
- Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships, which encourage openness with team members, managers and peers.
- Demonstration of strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and demonstrate patience, ability to reason, persuade with self-confidence and ability to handle confrontation.
- Ability to effectively work with confidential information.
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish preferred.
Travel
- Occasional travel is expected of this position.
Source and recruit prospects using a variety of digital platforms to target ideal candidates for open positions. Manage interview and hiring processes through effective assessment of candidates' abilities to perform in positions of consideration.
Work Location
ONSITE: A team member's day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
