What you’ll get to do:Reporting to the Director, People Business Partner & Workplace Experience, this visible and engaged position will join the People team. The PBP role contributes to OppFi’s performance by providing tactical support for employee relations issues and strategic consulting on people strategies and solutions. You will build partnerships across the organization to provide value-added service to management and employees that promote the goals of the organization. The PBP serves as a consultant to management on people-related issues, while partnering with the business to assess and anticipate future needs. The successful PBP is an employee champion, communicating needs proactively with our People department and business leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mediate and resolve employee relations issues; lead objective investigations including employee terminations.
- Provide daily coaching to leadership on a variety of actions to include employee relations issues, policy application.
- Consult regularly with leadership and conduct weekly meetings to offer guidance on employee concerns and needs.
- Conduct training for managers and employees.
- Evaluate issues, patterns, and trends to provide insight and recommend solutions to the business on people programs and strategy.
- Work with people leaders and employees to improve work relationships,build morale and engagement in order to increase productivity and retention.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of employment legal requirements related to daily management to reduce legal risk. Partner with the legal department as needed.
- Design processes that support successful change and transformation.Â
- Co-lead Glassdoor reviews/responses with the Director of Culture and Change Management.
- Partner with the Talent & DEI team to build skills and create capability in our people for the long-term.
- Partner with Senior Manager, People Business Partner, on ad-hoc People projects.
What you will bring to the team:
- Required: Minimum 2 years serving as PBP for a customer contact center or sales organization.
- BA/BS degree in Human Resources Management or Psychology.
- 4+ years of PBP experience in a high-growth company.
- Experience using UKG systemÂ
- Employee relations skills and experience.
- High degree of ethics, professionalism and objectivity.
- Ability to make recommendations to resolve issues.Â
- Ability to influence employees and leaders at all levels.Â

Job Level: Associate
The minimum salary for this role is $75,000. The total compensation package includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses as well as a 1-time equity grant based on level.
The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be at the company’s sole discretion, and determined by a myriad of factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, and other relevant business considerations.
