As a true "business partner" to the Supply Chain organization, responsible for achieving results through influence and the proactive management of employee relations and human capital issues and opportunities. Focus on identification, selection and retention of talent to ensure a dynamic pipeline capable of delivering on forward-looking operational plans. Advise managers in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Partner with leadership to plan and execute strategies that ensure maximum engagement of human capital. This includes management and employee training and development. Responsible for managing quality of sourcing and hiring processes; pay practices; building managerial competencies; linking human resources efforts to business plan and overall strategy; driving behavior that increases employee retention; quality of employee relations; organizational health; and all regulatory, legal and compliance matters within Supply Chain Footprint (CA, IL, GA, CT, TX locations).

  • Consult with employees and Supply Chain Managers to address employee relations trends and root causes of work-related problems and issues, attempting to resolve employee relations issues with a consistent systematic approach.
  • Conduct investigations into areas of misconduct or policy violation. Recommend follow up actions.
  • Provide strategic and operational day-to-day human resource leadership for Supply Chain including offering sound and creative means relative to business situations, organization restructuring efforts, recruiting, etc. Focus on aligning and driving behaviors that are consistent with overall organization strategy.
  • Serve as HR Business Partner; strategically linking the HR agenda to business plans to drive results.
  • Drive HR operational excellence by facilitating achievement of business units' performance objectives through positive employee relations while calibrating consistency, building managerial competencies and increasing cultural competence.
  • Improve organization effectiveness through consulting on change, leadership, organizational design, communication and engagement.
  • Identify competency and talent gaps, ensure development of people resources and support talent assessment and succession planning.
  • Diagnose, translate, and define current and future business needs into an overall integrated strategic HR plan for the organization.
  • Monitor compliance and mitigate risk related to existing Company policies and location-specific laws/regulations governing employment practices.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR programs, policies and practices across assigned geography.
  • Perform due diligence for acquisitions and integrate acquisition employees.
  • Work on assigned benefit and compensation structure issues.
  • Assist in building and evaluating Human Resource Planning efforts for the area as well as follow up on development and action items.
  • Establish performance measures including review of performance appraisals, formulation of development goals that are consistent with organizational priorities, identification of ways for people to capitalize on and develop their strengths, creation of Performance Improvement Plans and follow through on PIPs .
  • Train managers on a variety of topics including but not limited to recruitment, sexual harassment, company policies and procedures, people management and development.
  • Provide hands-on support to employees and managers to better understand and utilize HR tools, processes and policies; maximizing organizational effectiveness, improve performance and ensuring compliance.
  • Collaborate with line managers on the recruitment/selection process in an effort to support forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements.
  • Work with managers on staffing needs including hiring, promotion, demotion, and terminations.
  • Assist in the handling of Litigation, EEO, 3rd Party Case Management.
  • Responsible for providing input and feedback to corporate, relative to business needs as well as service levels.
  • Create, disseminate and analyze reports that provide information and/or add value to the business
  • Conduct research and analyze data on assigned projects.
  • Make recommendations on process optimizations.
  • Provide insight on management communications and training.
  • Provide innovative HR solutions and approaches with a focus on driving success and meeting business objectives.
  • Explain company policies and procedures to employees and applicants.
  • Work on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations.
  • Work on assigned programs or special projects.


Education

Bachelor's Degree or High School diploma (or equivalent) with an additional 3 years of experience in related capacity

Professional Experience/Competencies
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience in HR Business Partner role
  • Experience in a Supply Chain or Manufacturing / multi-site, field based organization mandatory
  • Strong ability to identify, diagnose and resolve employee issues affecting business performance
  • Knowledge of employment laws & regulations including but not limited to FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EO, HIPAA, and OSHA
  • Ability to work independently with tight timelines and multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Competent in performance management, compensation, training principles, recruiting and other HR general knowledge area
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative and interdependent HR organization


Computer Skills
  • Intermediate to advanced user knowledge of Microsoft Windows components, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with WorkDay a plus.


Certifications/Licenses
  • Valid drivers' license with clean driving record
