The role
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our People Operations team as a full-time HR Coordinator. This role focuses on providing effective and efficient administrative tasks and service support to all levels of employees for Metropolis’s People team.
What you will be doing
- Maintain an HR system by ensuring accurate entry of new hires and employee changes including records and documentation .
- Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes among others
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records including periodic audits.
- Provides support to Managers and team members by maintaining ownership of our HR ticketing systems - and making judgment calls as to what can be answered vs. escalated
- Build and run reports for company stakeholders.
- Conduct or assist with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Strong interpersonal skills; frequently communicate with team members; must be able to exchange accurate information
- Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal English
- Must maintain confidentiality of all work-related information
- Ability to work in a diverse environment and be sensitive to issues of diversity and inclusion
- Good work habits and willingness to work extended hours if requested to complete a job when required
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least two (2) years of related experience preferred
- Intermediate or better proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required
