About the role:
Allogene’s Human Resources organization is building a world class team focused on delivering potentially lifesaving therapies to patients. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us a HR Coordinator. This role will be a hands-on role reporting to our VP, HR and is based at headquarters in South San Francisco, CA. This role functions as a generalist in a variety of human resources activities. This position will contribute to a team of high-performing HR professionals dedicated to providing best-in-class programs and services
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Schedule and coordinate interviews; create agendas
- Deliver excellent manager and employee experiences through management of the new hire on-boarding, to include:
- Assist with new hire orientation
- Prepare and process necessary paperwork
- Verify I-9 documentation using E-Verify
- Draft new hire announcements
- Ensure employees are cared for through data management, to include:
- Manage personnel files and record keeping for legal compliance
- Generate new-hire and off-boarding documentation processes, including data entry to Insperity (PEO) and other tracking mechanisms
- Deliver periodic census and employee information for insurance, 401(k), audits and other purposes (e.g. vacation time, payroll data, personnel files, etc.)
- Provide exceptional customer service by quickly and accurately addressing questions, especially those that pertain to benefits, payroll, and employment verification
- Support the development of an agile People function by conducting research for industry best practices, policies, training, and other related issues for periodic projects
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements & Experience:
- Demonstrated ability to appropriately maintain confidential and sensitive information
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership in areas of responsibility, demonstrated by exceptional attention-to-detail and ability to reliably meet deadlines
- Skilled in time management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrated by effectively communicating across all levels of the organization
- Ability to adapt in a constantly evolving environment by prioritizing competing time demands with input from manager
- Ability to use Word, Excel, & PowerPoint to create documents, presentations and analysis of data in support of day-to-day responsibilities
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with at least 1 year of experience working in a professional environment
