Human Resources Coordinator
Job Description
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center is a non-profit community health center that is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of our community by providing accessible, high quality care by integrating primary care, dental care, WIC support, mental health counseling, community health education and more.
Compensation: $25.50 - $28.85 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manages the onboarding process, track and collect required documentation from new hires (background checks, physicals, immunization records, etc.)
- Helps with job postings and supports the coordination of screenings, interviews, virtual/in-person site visits, and job fairs.
- Assist with documentation (new hire/transfer/promotion checklist, drafting offer letters, etc.)
- Assists with the new hire orientation including preparing new hire packets, documents and coordinating attendance of presenters.
- Sets up new hires in HRIS, creates personnel files (verifying certain documents are within the file).
- Partners with the Credentialing department as needed to collect information from new hires.
- E-Verify, I-9 and EDD new hire reporting
- Tracks Employee Referral program and prepares documentation for processing.
- Coordinates bilingual testing and completes documentation to ensure payment.
- Assists with and coordinates applicants for Volunteers, Externs Precepting Students & Internships program (onboarding/orientation, paperwork)
- Manages HR "HELPDesk" (email, VM, in-person) request for HR services and designates request to appropriate HR staff members
- Ordering of lunch for HR meetings/new hire orientations, and office supplies
- Periodically oversees HR documents to verify the storage of such information is up-to-date and paperwork/files have been archived, as needed.
- Tracks on-call and temporary status of staff.
- Process employee requests (scholarship applications, tuition reimbursements, work schedule agreements, etc.)
- Run reports as requested (birthday list, anniversaries, promotions, new hires, etc.)
- Ensures employment verifications are processed through HRIS and responsible for managing correspondence received from HR e-fax, including NHSC/BHW verifications
- Other administrative and HR tasks as assigned by HR department managers.
Requirements
- Associate's degree (AA) in Psychology, Business, Sociology, or an equivalent field is required.
- Minimum of two years of experience working within an HR department required.
- Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center is a plus.

- Must have problem-solving skills, including creativity, resourcefulness, timeliness
- Must be able to travel to various TVHC sites as needed
