Job Description

Job Summary:

Act as a primary contact for employees with general benefits, retirement and leave of absence questions. Partners with HR management on day to day business needs.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Research and resolve issues independently by navigating the appropriate resource channels.
  • Administer new hire benefit enrollments, life event changes, and retirement plan elections.
  • Point of contact for all leave of absences including FMLA, short-term and long-term disability.
  • Provide weekly assistance to payroll to ensure accurate payment of short-term disability payments.
  • Respond to HR and employee questions daily in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Process department invoices with the correct coding and routing including benefits invoicing, and vendor payments.
  • Responsible for all email correspondence and phone coverage for the Benefits department.
  • 401(k) & H.S.A. funding, audit, and maintenance.
  • Maintain benefit reporting and metrics.
  • Provide support to annual benefit renewal and enrollment process.
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings and completing assignments.

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Ability to work and interact well with others.
  • Ability to maintain a high-degree of confidentiality.
  • 1-3 years experience, including internships, in related field a plus.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Strong excel/power point/word skills.
  • High energy individual who is flexible and willing to learn.
  • Ability to research, problem-solve, and find plausible solutions.
  • Self-motivated with keen attention to detail, high degree of accuracy and sense of urgency.

Special Demands:

  • Frequent, long periods of sitting in office environment using standard computer & phone equipment.
