Human Resources Coordinator - Bilingual (English/Spanish)

American Display & Fixture (ADF) has an immediate full time opening for an experienced Human Resources Coordinator. Looking for an experienced HR professional to join a dynamic HR Team. We are looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal and computer skills and to oversee a diverse set of HR activities and programs. Position reports to Director of Human Resources.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executes and implements the administration of company-wide human resources policies and practices.
  • Preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating in a confidential manner.
  • Solid understanding of labor laws and regulations; Federal, Tennessee and Georgia
  • Make sure all HR activities comply with legal requirements.
  • Assist with Employer benefit programs.
  • Updates HRIS system as needed or directed
  • Experience with HR data management; Electronic filing
  • Manages Onboarding staff, conducts training
  • Recruiting
  • Participates and plans company events
  • Assist in Timekeeping and payroll recordkeeping
  • Familiar in different HRIS systems.
  • Knowledgeable in the ADA, FMLA and workers compensation.
  • Makes themselves readily available to employees and temps to answer questions and assure prompt, and accurate customer service.
  • Treats all with dignity and respect
  • Maintains a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to commute and to other locations (TN & Dalton) on occasion
  • Other administrative duties as assigned by department.
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to work in multi-cultural facilities and to work with non-English speaking employees.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Prefer Minimum of 3+ years' experience in Human Resources
  • Very proficient of Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.)
  • Ability to clearly communicate (written and verbal.)
  • Ability multi-task in a fast paced, deadline drive environment as well a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exhibits high degree of discretion, judgment, and confidentiality.
  • Occasionally, work outside normal business hours as needed.

Physical Requirements- Work is performed in an office environment.

  • Stationary work: requiring ability to sit, stand for long periods of time.
  • Moderate amounts of walking involved in working in plant locations.
  • Consistent use of repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers to view and operate computer, phone, and basic office equipment.
  • Occasional lift/push/pull up to 20 pounds.
  • On occasion, the ability to drive to various site locations.
