Job Overview
The Human Resources Coordinator supports the HR Department and the facility management team with employee relations, benefits, and payroll assistance.
A Day In The Life
- Collect, compile and enter hourly and salaried payroll for weekly and bi-weekly pay cycles in a timely fashion
- Maintain and update filing and electronic payroll related information in HRIS
- Complete requests for pay-related documents including statements and verifications.
- Complete monthly headcount reports.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain employee files and records.
- Compile reports for Affirmative Action Plan.
- Coordinate group insurance programs (health, dental, sickness, accident, and disability).
- Coordinate HR reporting/surveys (EEO-1, AAP logs, wage/benefits surveys).
- Support department and company-wide special projects as needed.
- Coordinate employee leaves of absence, including FMLA.
- Assist in entering new hires, terminations, leave of absence, etc., in HRIS.
- Conduct hourly new hire orientations & assist with mandatory hourly employee trainings.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Associate's degree in Business, or related field is required; Bachelor's degree a plus
- Solid understanding of payroll processing; experience with payroll and/or HRIS a must
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Must possess good time management skills and be able prioritize duties
- Solid attention to detail with excellent proofreading skills
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
