Job Description
Ardelyx is a publicly-traded commercial biopharmaceutical company founded with a mission to discover, develop and commercialize innovative first-in-class medicines that meet significant unmet medical needs. Ardelyx's first approved product for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C) is available in the United States and Canada. Ardelyx is developing XPHOZAH® (tenapanor), a novel product candidate to control serum phosphorus in adult patients with CKD on dialysis, which has completed three successful Phase 3 trials.
Human Resources Coordinator
The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for supporting a full range of Human Resources (HR) activities, in the following areas: talent acquisition, onboarding and orientation, and general human resources support. Partnering with other members of the HR team, the HR Coordinator is responsible for supporting and delivering quality work in a hands-on capacity related to recruiting, onboarding, employee files, HR policies, procedures, programs and the overall employee and candidate experience. Position Duties:
General Human Resources
- Manage HR Service Desk, ensuring a timely response to employee questions and inquiries, escalating when appropriate
- Manage and create electronic employee files
- Process employee changes within HRIS system and across all internal platforms with absolute accuracy
- Run and create reports and queries using Paylocity, Jobvite, and other HR Systems, related to various HR metrics including performance, benefits enrollment, time tracking and attendance, etc, for analysis and distribution
- Responds to verifications of employment
- Coordinate offboarding of employees; communicating with required departments and ensuring paperwork is completed
- Providing a high level of customer service and project coordination
- Special projects and other assigned duties where needed
- Facilitation of pre-employment onboarding tasks, collection of pre-employment documents, initiation of background checks and scheduling of new hire orientations
- Facilitate new hire orientation and act as the liaison between IT, payroll, broader HR team, and various internal stakeholders to ensure onboarding is smooth for new hires and to ensure the new employee has everything that is needed on their first day
- Assists with recruitment tasks including but not limited to posting job requisitions, contacting potential candidates, and scheduling interviews
- Manage onboarding tracker, ensure that candidates are following the proper steps in the hiring process
- 1-3 years of experience working in a coordinating or administrative role supporting an HR team within biotech/pharma is preferred
- Bachelor's degree or HR certification desired; or equivalent education and/or related work experience.
- Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly, accurately, and tactfully verbally and in writing.
- Excellent analytical and administration skills (data input, record keeping, filing) are essential with a high focus on accuracy, attention to detail, quality and confidentiality
- Ability to handle sensitive data and maintain confidentiality; operates with high integrity and a sense of urgency
- Highly driven and goal-oriented with proven ability to meet established goals and deadlines
- Some familiarity with presentation and facilitation
- Ability to model Ardelyx core values in collaborative working environment
- Ability to use MS Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook; Zoom; Exposure to some HRIS, ATS, background check systems; and social media recruiting platforms (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed, etc.)
