Human Resources Data Analyst
Job Description

This position will be the main point of contact for the business reporting needs for our Human Resources department, helping to prioritize and deliver reports and analysis to support this critical organization. To be successful in this role, we are seeking a highly motivated person that adapts well to change and can easily navigate multiple priorities in a matrixed organization. This role will have a huge impact on data availability through turning data into insight that will help drive business decisions.Â
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize existing datasets, visualizations, reports, and dashboards to uncover trends and insights to support business initiatives and priorities.
- Gather new data, and/or creatively use existing data to propose metrics and present them in compelling but easily understood way to a non-statistical audience.
- Build new dashboards, workforce analytics, and other reporting solutions; compile results in a concise, meaningful, and actionable format; and share findings to senior leadership.
- Analyze and interpret data and statistics for trends, correlations, and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Provide ad-hoc and on-demand reporting to leadership and key stakeholders across the company to answer business questions quickly, accurately, and thoroughly.
- Conduct meetings and presentations with all levels of the organization to share ideas, findings, and recommend areas for improvement.
- Conducts routine audits and validation to ensures accuracy of data, rectify discrepancies, and/or missing data.Â
- Build and maintain strong partnerships across HR and the business to identify opportunities and collaborate to influence the direction of data visualization.
- Maintain data confidentiality, judgement, and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive people data.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Math, Statistics, or other STEM related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience in an analytical role with the ability to interpret data, build reports, develop workforce analytics, analyze results, identify trends or patterns in complex data-sets and maintain real-time dashboards.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and SQL.Â
- Experience with visualization technologies such as Power BI or Tableau and a demonstrated history of learning new systems quickly.
- Knowledge and experience working with Workday and other HR systems, processes, and metrics.
- Highly motivated, self-starter that can operate under minimal supervision and work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communication to proactively provide updates on project statuses, raise/escalate issues/challenges as they arise, and the ability to lead projects and initiatives.
- Excellent organizational, collaborative, relational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to explain data, deliverables, and problems to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, highly dynamic environment and react quickly to changes and shifting priorities while managing multiple projects and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
