Human Resources Generalist

Sonatus is seeking a highly motivated HR Generalist willing to roll up your sleeves and help with the growing needs of the HR Department. This position reports to the Head of Human Resources and People Operations and will contribute to a positive employee experience, assist with day-to-day HR tasks, respond to employee needs/questions and communicate company policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Able to effectively communicate company policies and procedures to all staff.
• Familiar with HR laws and HR compliance.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in Namely/Bamboo (HRIS).
• Serves as a main point of contact for general employee inquiries and concerns.
• Responsible for on-boarding, welcome emails, reference and background checks.
• Responsible and off-boarding and exit interviews.
• Ensures new-hire trainings are completed timely.
• Able to craft company policies and procedures and perform yearly review of same.
• Assist with recruitment / scheduling candidates for interviews.
• Able to communicate clearly throughout the day via email, slack and in person to a diverse workforce.
• Contributes to a positive employee experience and company morale.
• Supports HR projects and initiatives as they arise.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required.
• HR Generalist with 3-5 years’ experience in a fast paced environment.
• Some experience with Immigration matters useful.
• Some experience with global HR useful.
