Job description:
The Human Resources Generalist supports the Human Resources department with a focus on assisting the organization overall. They maintain and build business relationships with internal and external partners and exercise a high degree of discretion and initiative in working with senior management on a variety of tasks. Â
The Human Resources Generalist offers expertise in the realm of Human Resources. The HR Generalist is directly responsible for overseeing the onboarding process, but also providing generalist knowledge in areas of Human Resources including benefits, employment law, performance management, training, and recruiting. Â
The Human Resources Generalist must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail. Someone who has excellent people skills, a desire to learn new things and the knack of anticipating needs and planning is required. A person who will not only maintain effective office operations but also identify areas of improvement. We like resourceful people who do whatever it takes to get the job done well. Â
Essential Function & Responsibilities: Â
- Responsible for onboarding new hires, including ensuring new hires have all their necessary equipment to perform their job duties and PriceSpider swag for their first dayÂ
- Ensures all employees are conducting trainings, as required, by the state, government or PriceSpiderÂ
- Participates on committees and special projects, such as PriceSpider’s Philanthropy Committee and Social Committee to ensure business continuity between all offices Â
- Responsible for light office managementÂ
- Keeps the HR Department apprised of new laws and compliance changesÂ
- Meets all requirements for confidentiality of customers, business partners, company, and personnel informationÂ
- Familiar in US labor law and compliance and ensures that proper compliance is distributed and followedÂ
- Assists HR Manager in all aspects of HR, as assigned, including but not limited to standard human resource services: new hire and exit processing, employee file management, leaves of absence documentation, employee relations, recruitment and pre-hire processes, job descriptions, manager support for discipline and performance documentation, benefits administration and employee supportÂ
- Uses excellent speaking and writing skills to complete a variety of detailed responses; proofreads to identify work errors and corrects work accurately. Uses skill and judgment to ensure written or verbal communications are clear, accurate, grammatical and of appropriate tone. Â
- Organizes workload throughout the day to meet project timelines and deadlinesÂ
- Completes other administrative tasks Â
- Supports and trains other team members as appropriateÂ
Minimum Qualifications:Â
- Bachelor's degree, preferred Â
- 2-5 years of experience working in HR on a variety of different topicsÂ
- Excellent verbal and written communication skillsÂ
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skillsÂ
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailÂ
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and proceduresÂ
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to accomplish department goalsÂ
- A high-level of time management, accountability, and prioritization skillsÂ
- Strong team player with the ability to adapt to diverse team membersÂ
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environmentÂ
- Strong work ethic with a great attitudeÂ
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareÂ

Compensation:
The base salary for this role is $68,500. Please note that our salary ranges are based on current market data and the offered compensation may vary based on experience, skills, location, and other factors permitted by law.
