What You Will Do

We are excited to be opening our new distribution facility in Merrillville, IN using state of the art technology while minimizing our carbon footprint. Our 400,000 square foot facility will serve as one of our global shipping hubs responsible for meeting the demand of our customers internationally.

The Senior HR Generalist provides core functional HR support to the business with a focus on employee relations, employee and manager coaching, and talent acquisition. With coordination of HR Managers or senior professionals, may deliver, support, administer various aspects of the organization's compensation and benefit, recruitment, training, organization development, and employee relations programs. Provides strategic support, advising managers and employees on policies, procedures, and legal compliance. This role involves addressing employee relations, coaching managers, and assisting with talent acquisition. The ideal candidate is perceptive, trusted by individuals at all levels, and capable of making sound, independent decisions. A strong understanding of employment law, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to accountability and teamwork are essential. Key responsibilities include:

• Provides core HR support to improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solution; coaching and counseling managers and employees.

• Provides core functional HR support to the business with a focus on talent acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention. Partner with leadership to ensure optimal staffing levels, balancing recruitment, retention, and overtime.

• Advise managers on employee issues such as attendance, leaves of absence, and accommodations.
• Interpret and communicate HR policies and procedures.
• Conduct confidential investigations into policy violations, ethics concerns, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
• Analyze turnover data and implement strategies to improve employee morale and retention.

• Manage employee development, performance management, and succession planning.

• Conduct salary analysis and provide recommendations for hires, promotions, and equity adjustments.
• Under the direction of senior HR professionals, provides HR support to business and/or HR change initiatives, projects, programs.

What You Will Bring

• Required Education: Associate’s degree in HR, business administration, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Preferred Certifications: PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP.
• Required Experience: 5 years’ work experience in Human Resources
• Strong decision-making ability.
• Professional, respectful, and tactful communication with all levels of the organization.
• Collaborative team player, fostering accountability and constructive feedback.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
• In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to stay current and ensure compliance.
• Thrive in dynamic environment and can pivot as priorities evolve.
