Objective: The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for leading the day-to-day HR support to internal customers within the organization focusing on employee relations, investigations, training, and coaching/counseling.  This role will also support recruiting, engagement, and retention efforts and assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and ensure procedures align with company goals and objectives. This position requires a well-rounded HR Generalist who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization.  The Human Resources Generalist must be sensitive to corporate & field needs, employee goodwill, and the overall business needs.

Essential Functions:

  1. Acts as an HR business partner to leaders throughout the company. 
  2. Serves as subject matter expert in all employee relations cases.  
  3. Coaches, counsels and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions, 
  4. Provides visible HR presence where our employees work to enable real time engagement and solutions.
  5. Contributes to the development of a culture of equity, diversity & inclusion and overall employee experience.
  6. Aids in supporting the delivery of key HR processes (e.g., performance support, employee movement, leadership coaching, etc.).
  7. Support as the continuing transformation of HR via HR process development & implementation, continuous best practice & automation improvements.
  8. Serves as subject matter expert on majority of HR products and services.
  9. Manages exit interviewing and exit survey results summaries for Leadership Team.
  10. Develops and maintains affirmative action program.
  11. Assists with Merger and Acquisition process for employee integration.
  12. Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws, and regulations including annual poster requirements.
  13. Provides data for Internal Audits and various payroll, benefits or other HR programs.
  14. Assists the HR Management team with various research projects and/or special projects.
  15. Assists with or prepares HR related correspondence.

 Work Experience

  • Minimum 7 years HR experience
  • Extensive experience with complex employee relations cases (preferred) 

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of HR generalist experience
  • HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, 
    SHRM-CP, etc.)

 Education, Certificates, Licenses, or Designations

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience

Specific Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with ATS (Preferred)
  • Previous experience with HRIS

Work Environment: While performing essential duties of this position an individual regularly works indoors in an office setting and may be required to sit for long periods. Individual will be required to regularly talk, hear, see and often reach with hands, stand, walk, use a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment.
