Human Resources Intern
Job Description
Wilks Brothers is seeking a detail-oriented and service oriented Human Resources Intern to join our HR department. Reporting directly to the HR Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for administrative and data entry tasks that are crucial to our human resources and recruiting operations. This internship provides an outstanding opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a well-established and respected organization.
This role will be located at 777 Main St, Fort Worth, TX 76102. This is a paid internship.
Key Roles / Responsibilities:
- Assist HR Director with various human resources tasks; assist in the documentation of new policies and procedures.
- Assist recruiting function with administrative tasks including interview scheduling, resume reviews, and communications with hiring managers.
- Perform data entry and administrative duties, including record maintenance, file management, and scheduling.
- Contribute to employee engagement activities, assisting in the organization and execution of internal events.
- Collaborate cross-functionally within the organization to facilitate smooth HR operations.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned by the HR Director.
Educational and Other Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences or a related field. All degree programs are encouraged to apply if they have an interest in a HR related field.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and excellence in all data-related tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Previous experience in an administrative or HR-related or recruiting role is considered an asset, though not required.
Working Conditions:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Positions self to install equipment, including under desks.
- Moves throughout the building to access files.
- Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
- Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
- Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
- Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
