Human Resources Intern

This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment in Troy, MI.

Summary:

Aptiv is seeking a student, with a passion for HR, to apply their academic knowledge and skills in to provide a wholistic experience in the HR capacity. The HR Intern will support HR Managers in day-to-day assignments and projects. The HR Intern of an agile organization will have multi-faceted responsibilities to build and maintain a high-performance team. In this role you will have exposure to internal talent mobility, HRIS, employee engagement, training, employment lifecycle, and immigration.

Responsibilities:

• Works with the HR Management team to drive HR daily operations and employee services throughout the product lines

• Assists with processing of onboarding and offboarding cycles

• Proposes best in class solutions for continuous improvement initiatives.

• Provides support with the optimal function of the HRIS, which includes maintenance and data accuracy

• Cultivates ideas, plans, and oversees aspects of recurrent activities to boost employee engagement

• Manages and generates various themed announcements to ensure an effective communication strategy

• Assists with special HR projects

Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):

• Bachelors or Masters student working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Organizational Psychology, Communications, or business related degree.

• Demonstrates strong ability to embrace and adapt to change, takes initiative and showcases curiosity.

• Excellent and positive verbal and interactive communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to handle data with high confidentiality.

• Ability to function well in a high-paced, team.

• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft office tools/programs (Excel, Word, etc.).
