Internship Programs at CommScope

Our Summer Internship Program is designed to provide you with an invaluable work experience through meaningful projects that will help you grow and develop both personally and professionally.

Throughout the 12-week program, you will collaborate with some of the best in the industry, receive on-the-job training, participating in professional development workshops, executive speaker series, and other networking and social events.

How You'll Help Us Connect the World

As a Human Resources Intern, you will provide functional support for assigned areas by providing innovative, practical, and human resources solutions that support the overall mission and goals. This includes employee recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, HR policy administration, compensation and benefit programs, communications programs, and employee relations activities. The incumbent will assist in the development of standard reports and metrics for ongoing client requirements. This role has global exposure to the HR business partners and will provide timely in-region support for functional leaders and support, build, and implement programs, policies, procedures, and controls regarding HR and employment matters.

With this role, you will have the opportunity to understand and relate to customer needs and will work with key partners at all levels of the organization, in a fast-paced, vibrant environment. This role is based in Richardson, Texas.

You Will Make an Impact By

  • Participating in HR projects and processes including talent acquisition, talent management, training and development and compensation job architecture.
  • Collecting and compiling HR metrics and data analytics from a variety of sources.
  • Assist in the development of standard reports, documents and/or forms for key partners and client groups.
  • Assist employees with HR and benefits related issues through coordination with the HR Shared Services (HRSS) team, BenefitSolver and internal resources.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's (junior) degree in Human Resources from an accredited university.
  • Proven strong academic performer with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Must be able to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills and demonstrated strong interpersonal skills in effectively dealing with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be able to effectively manage priorities and balance job requirements from multiple managers.
  • Dexterity with computer software (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio).
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.
