This is an exciting opportunity in Indianapolis, IN for a Human Resources Leadership Program Graduate.

Allison Transmission is seeking recent college graduates with demonstrated leadership skills, learning aptitude, agility, and team collaboration capabilities to be part of a new Human Resources Leadership Program (HRLP). This is a two-year program that provides exposure to key areas of human resources including talent acquisition and management, HR operations, total rewards, inclusion and diversity, performance management and learning and development. HRLPs will have the opportunity to develop as human resource professionals by completing 6-month rotational assignments across different HR departments, contributing to real projects, and gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Management and HR Operations:

  • Gain hands-on experience with HRIS systems and data management.
  • Learn and assist with facilitation of talent management processes.
  • Analyze employee engagement data and assist with action planning.
  • Career development education and support.
  • Assist in HR process improvement initiatives.

Total Rewards (Compensation and Benefits):

  • Participate in the administration of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Understand and assist with improving job architecture structure.
  • Contribute to the analysis of market trends for total rewards benchmarking.

Global Talent Acquisition, Campus Programs, and Inclusion & Diversity

  • Assist in Internship Program deliverables for next intern selection.
  • Assist in recruitment activities, including candidate sourcing, screening, and coordination with HR Business Partners and RPO.
  • Support the development of employer branding initiatives.
  • Support the coordination of internship and campus recruiting programs.
  • Assist in building relationships with universities and educational institutions.
  • Contribute to initiatives promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Support the implementation of inclusive policies and programs.

Performance Management and Learning & Development:

  • Goal setting and prep for mid-year process.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of training programs.
  • Support the evaluation and improvement of learning initiatives.

Qualifications:

Relevant undergraduate or graduate program.

Strong interest in Human Resources and a desire to pursue a career in the field.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, relationship building and organizational skills.

Proactive and self-motivated with a strong ability to work independently and in a team.

Duration:

This is a 2-year rotational program. If a full-time position arises before the end of the two-year period, candidates will be considered based on performance and business needs.
