Position Summary:
The HR Manager, reporting to Human Resources Director will be the main point of contact for a sub-group of the employee population as well as provide broad resources to the HR team and the organization.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Work with employees and supervisors to address employee relations issues and advise managers on the appropriate resolutions
- Support employee full life cycle
- Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs
- Create reports and presentations to support decision workflows
- Maintain the data accuracy of the HCM system
- Troubleshoot employee and manager self-service access to the HCM system
- Collaborate with other HR team members on a regular basis
- Participate with project teams to create HR infrastructure, policies and internal processes to optimize the HR function
- Support the implementation of programs related to onboarding, workforce planning, succession planning, employee relations, and leave management
- In partnership with HR team members, develop training programs for employee and manager audiences
- Track metrics that assess and monitor the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives
- Maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Manage data in accordance with the company's record retention policies and procedures, while ensuring data integrity and compliance
- Maintain confidentiality of work-related issues, records, and company information
- Routinely interact with cross-functional teams (HR, Payroll, Accounting, Audit, IT, etc.) to provide relevant data and analysis including monthly and quarterly reconciliations
Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or related field required
- 5+ years of Human Resource Generalist experience or equivalent
- Experience in employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, etc.
- Ability to objectively coach and influence employees and managers through complex or difficult situations
- Human Resource certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
- Experience in healthcare, medical device start-up or technology organizations
- Ability to work from the Downtown Dallas, TX office (several days weekly)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (technical, interpersonal, etc.)
- Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills through various channels
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently, but function as part of a team
- Detail oriented
- Flexibility and willingness to take on new tasks with guidance
- Demonstrated analysis skills and the ability to effectively resolve problems or issues with minimum supervision
