Job Summary:
CaterTrax is seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Manager to serve as a trusted business partner and advisor to the executive and leadership team across the organization. This position is responsible for driving human resources initiatives that enable HR to become fully integrated into business operations.
This is a hybrid position. Candidates should be local to Rochester, NY or planning to relocate to the area. COVID vaccination required.
Job Description:
Corporate Compliance
- Reviews, updates, and communicates changes in the organization's employee policies and procedures to ensure proper compliance.
- Consults with group HR and legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CEO, on personnel matters.
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure company compliance.
Compensation and Other Benefits
- Works directly with the CEO to develop progressive compensation and benefits programs in line with corporate policies which provide motivation, incentives, and rewards for effective performance and employee retention.
- Performs salary benchmarking for new and current positions.
- Administers leave of absence programs, including family and medical leave of absence, non-medical leave of absence, short term disability and long term disability.
Employee Relations and Engagement
- Formulates and implements employee relations strategies to ensure high employee morale, performance and retention.
- Fosters and stewards a culture seeded in the organization's values.
- Works with group HR to conduct an annual employee engagement survey. Assists with providing detailed reporting to the executive leadership team on survey results.
- Maintains company HRIS system records.
Performance/Talent Management
- Builds programs and executes tactics that support employee on-boarding, development, and retention.
- Develops effective relationship with managers by coaching on performance management, conflict resolution in line with corporate policies.
- Leads the Volaris annual talent review process, working with business leaders on outlining succession plans, identifying high potential/high performing talent and managing development plans.
- Oversees the Volaris talent management process performance appraisal process within Workday to ensure all employee Scorecards are completed with fair and measurable goals and deadlines.
Talent Acquisition
- Recruits to meet workforce demands on a timely and organized basis to drive business initiatives.
- Works with Department Managers to ensure results-focused job descriptions are complete and up-to-date.
- Ensures a professionally administered staffing process which includes timely responses to applications and inquiries; a carefully planned interview schedule; educated interviewers; and notification to candidates when a selection decision has been reached.
- Develops and maintains working relationships with recruitment/outsourcing resources.
Corporate Events
- Plans and executes corporate events (i.e. holiday party, summer picnic, QBR's, community related volunteer activities, service awards ceremony, etc.)

Vendor Management, Building Security and Facilities
- Administers building key fobs and employee Sonitrol access to the building.
- Communicates/coordinates with building landlord on office related maintenance issues
- Serves as the primary contact for the cleaning company and communicates cleaning schedule.
- Serves as the primary contact for other office vendors
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration.
- SPHR or PHR certification a plus.
- At least 5 years of related work experience
- In-depth knowledge of NYS labor laws and HR best practices.
- Ability to operate with a high level of awareness and maintain confidentiality in sensitive situations.
