What You’ll Do:Â
The Human Resources Manager is an HR expert, ensuring the execution and success of HR plans, programs and practices for Suvoda’s US workforce. He or she has deep experience in employee relations, compensation, benefits, policy administration, immigration and labor regulations and compliance. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader and a master of building and maintaining truly authentic relationships in the office and with a remote workforce. He or she has coached employees at all levels, and is quick to become a trusted advisor.
Reporting to the Director, Talent & Culture, the HR Manager is a skilled project manager with strong technical capabilities and an innate propensity to utilize technology to support HR-related processes. He or she is savvy and analytical and values how data can be used to drive decision-making, while balancing the importance of trusting one’s gut. The HR Manager is a critical player in building and maintaining Suvoda’s culture and core values.Â
The HR Manager will
- Stay up-to-date on and ensure adherence to the United States labor law legislation
- Implement and maintain up-to-date employee handbook and company policies, balancing the legal requirements, with the best interests of Suvoda and its employees
- Directly manage junior and mid-level members of the Talent & Culture team
- Manage US benefits package, staying up-to-date on current trends and offering suggestions for changes/improvement and collaborate with European offices to ensure harmonization of benefits
- Lead the implementation and adoption of global HRIS system with oversight and partnership from the T&C leadershipÂ
- Maintain and ensure completion and accuracy of employee files in HRIS and other systems
- Act as the champion of Suvoda’s organizational culture, and develop strategies to build and maintain the positive culture
- Manage new hire onboarding process, including general communication, benefits enrollment, employment paperwork
- Provide coaching to managers and individual employees on a variety of topics, including but not limited to performance issues, career development, team dynamics, leadership, interpersonal conflict, etc.
- Coordinate the administration of organizational initiatives including competency reviews, annual goal-setting conversations, etc.
- Assist in the development and rollout of new employee initiatives and programs
- Create and present data and insight-driven reports on US T&C departmental performance
- Assist with inter-company employee relocation and immigration
- Participate in candidate interview process, as needed
- Other related duties, as assigned
Who You Are:Â
You are:
- Educated with a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and a passion for learning
- Experienced, with a minimum of 7 or more years, in an HR generalist or manager functionÂ
- Skilled in coaching, mentoring and mitigating challenging employee issues, including performance improvement plans and terminations
- Experienced in managing compensation plans and salary bands for US companies, Global experience a plus
- Well-versed in small and mid-sized benefit plan administration and managing open enrollment cycles
- Poised, polished and articulate; comfortable presenting to small and large groups
- Comfortable in fast-paced and dynamic environment, with an innate ability to seek out information, knowledge, and opportunities to improve Â
- Naturally curious, an analytical-thinker, and a resourceful problem-solverÂ
- A self-starter who is comfortable managing uncertainty and ambiguityÂ
