L.A. Fuess Partners is seeking a full-time Human Resources Manager to join our team. This individual will report to the Director of Accounting and HR and will be charged with managing the daily operations of the Human Resources department.

Position Description and ResponsibilitiesWorking in conjunction with the Director of Accounting and HR, the HR Manager will be a highly-visible department leader and will serve as the firm’s primary point-of-contact for all HR related matters.
- Apply and continuously seek improvement of HR processes, policies and standards in support of the firm’s strategic objectives.
- Accurately assess the pulse of the organization in terms of engagement, talent needs, retention risks, compensation trends, etc.
- Support recruitment efforts for all offices.
- Lead and execute consistent and efficient on-boarding and exit management programs.
- ​​Champion all performance management and employee development needs, including performance reviews, professional development and mentorship, leadership development, and DEI initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee relations issues.
- Help plan and administer the firm’s compensation and benefits programs.
- Support and enhance the overall firm culture through effective employee engagement practices and initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in human resources, organizational development, business management, or related field
- At least three years of progressively responsible HR experience
- Prior work experience with an AEC firm is desirable
- HR certification preferred (e.g., HRCI, SHRM)
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with staff at all levels of the organization
- Ability to hold sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with MS365 and HRIS platforms (Paylocity experience is a plus)
