Summary
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of human resources functions within the Global Services function of the J.R. Simplot Company. This role involves collaborating with various business leaders to ensure effective HR strategies, policies, and practices are implemented to support the organization's goals and objectives. This role involves providing comprehensive HR support, guidance, and solutions to drive organizational effectiveness, talent management, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of the assigned business units' operations, objectives, and challenges.
- Collaborate with business leaders to align HR strategies with business goals and contribute to long-term organizational success.
- Partner with business leaders to identify talent needs, gaps, and growth opportunities within the organization.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Address employee concerns, conflicts, and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that fosters employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with business leaders to ensure effective performance management practices, including goal-setting, regular feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Provide guidance on addressing performance challenges and implementing improvement plans.
- Support organizational change initiatives by assessing impacts on employees and helping develop change management strategies.
- Provide guidance to leadership and employees during periods of transition.
- Collect and analyze HR data to identify trends and make informed decisions to improve HR strategies and processes.
- Generate regular HR reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies within assigned business units.
- Provide guidance on HR policies and practices to maintain a consistent and fair work environment.
Typical Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Relevant Experience
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
- Proficient in HR software and systems.
- Professional HR Certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
