Sparksoft is a fast-growing woman-owned small business that provides innovative technical solutions to the federal government. We are seeking a Human Resource Manager to help support our corporate initiatives and will be responsible for creating strategies, overseeing compliance, and implementing procedures. The successful Human Resource Manager will have experience with benefits, 401K policies, and employee relations.
Responsibilities:
• Developing and administering human resources plans and procedures that relate to company personnel
• Planning, organizing, and controlling the activities and actions of the HR department
• Contributing to the development of HR department goals, objectives, and systems
• Developing, analyzing, and updating the company's salary budget and evaluation program
• Developing, revising, and recommending personnel policies and procedures
• Maintaining and revising the company's handbook on policies and procedures
• Performing benefits administration
• Maintaining affirmative action programs
• Conducting new employee orientations and employee relations counseling
• Overseeing exit interviews
• Maintaining department records and reports
• Participating in administrative staff meetings
• Maintaining company directory and other organizational charts
• Recommending new policies, approaches, and procedures
• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
• Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
• Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
• Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
• Nurture a positive working environment
• Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
• Maintain pay plan and benefits program
• Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
• Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
• Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
Requirements
Position Requirements:
• Proven working experience as HR manager or other HR executive
• People oriented and results driven
• Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
• Knowledge of HR systems and databases
• Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
Desired Experience:
• Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
• In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
• Degree in Human Resources or related field
• Professional In Human Resources (PHR) will be a plus
Education/Experience Level:
• 6+ years' experience in HR field
• Bachelor of Business Administration OR Human Resources with a concentration in one of the following: Human resources; Organizational behavior; Management and leadership; Industrial relations, etc.
