Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a full-time Human Resources Managerin our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of generalists focused on managing associate relations for designated areas.
Essential Functions
- Analyze metrics and work with management and Vice President, Human Resources to generate strategic and creative plans for marketing employment opportunities at Garmin and evaluate and generate necessary company policies, procedures and programs
- Provide HR guidance and coaching to human resources representatives and/or management at remote offices and assist with resolution of questions, concerns, and/or issues that arise at those remote locations
- Analyze HR related costs and work closely with executive and HR management team to evaluate, update, and/or generate more efficient and cost effective company policies, procedures, programs, and/or training solutions
- Work closely with legal counsel to ensure legal requirements are met
- Train team members and participate in the review and feedback to managers of associate performance evaluations for designated areas
- Serve as a company representative within community organizations and at events
- Assist with business activities related to mergers, acquisitions, and integrations as needed
- Confer with managers and supervisors to guide and coach on employee relations matters and company policies and procedures
- Provide guidance and training to HR Generalists in administering the corrective action process, managing unemployment claims, and other associate relations activities
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor`s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, or related field AND a minimum of 5 years Human Resources experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of associate relations experience
- Previous experience supervising associates
- Must have proven experience dealing with confidential Human Resources matters
- Proficient computer skills in Word and Excel
- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be positive, flexible, detail oriented, organized, team oriented and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and lead in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent presentation skills and public speaking experience
- Must be willing to travel

- Experience creating and conducting training presentations
