Job Description
In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking a Human Resources Manager, Asia to join our team. In this role, you will align business objectives with associates in designated business units. Reporting to our Senior HR Director, Asia, you will create partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service with multiple stakeholders at the senior business level and coach associates according to organizational objectives. Applicants should be proficient with HRIS and talent management systems. The ideal applicant has strong knowledge of employment ordinance and regulations, China labor laws and all relevant government policies in WOFE.
A day in the office looks like this:
- Consulting with business stakeholders at the management level and coaching team members and business leaders by providing HR guidance when appropriate
- Working closely with leaders and employees to improve effective working relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
- Managing and resolving complex employee-relations issues; conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations with confidentiality
- Providing day-to-day performance management guidance to business management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Building and engaging in talent reviews and the performance management process to ensure internal talent is developed effectively and that gaps are appropriately identified and addressed
- Participating in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success; following up to ensure training and learning objectives are met
- Leveraging workforce analytics to execute HR dashboards, ad hoc reports and employee engagement surveys to identify HR trends
- Providing guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, organizational design and succession planning
- Establishing compensation strategy based on internal and external market research to incorporate into the business
- Providing HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Maintaining knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring compliance; partnering with the Legal department
Qualifications
Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:
- University graduate in Human Resources Management or relevant disciplines
- Minimum 8 years of HR generalist experience
- Experience in employee relations, staffing, compensation and benefits, HR projects, etc.
- Able to work independently and under pressure in fast-paced environment with minimum supervision
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Mature, flexible, committed, detail-minded and a good team player, possessing a sharp work ethic and strong self-discipline
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
- Bilingual in Chinese and English, with a strong command of English (read, write, speak)
