Human Resources Manager / People Team Business Partner
Job Description
The Role:
Working in partnership with other members of the North America People Team, the People Team Business Partner (also known as Human Resources Manager) will play a lead role in helping BCW attract and retain the highest quality staff with the depth and mix of people that differentiate us competitively. The role will place a heavy focus on strategic HR process and program improvement, performance management, training and development, recruiting and retention strategies and employee relations. The People Team Business Partner will help implement employee experience programs that drive the company agenda and deliver an organizational culture consistent with the company's values.

What is the work?
- Act as a change agent and strategic partner to the business in addition to providing day-to-day generalist support for the New York office.
- Partner with senior management to set market priorities, drive values, and deliver business results.
- Partner with senior management to ensure the market's workforce is appropriately sized and skilled for current and future agility.
- Identify appropriate training needs and advise the L&D team on aligning training initiatives with business objectives.
- Identify, develop and retain the region's best performers.
- Actively pursue knowledge of business practices, policies, organizational structure, roles and responsibilities to better understand the business.
- Co-lead the company's Summer Internship Program across North America.
- Ensure smooth implementation of, and compliance with, North America People team policies, procedures and initiatives and ensure compliance with all statutory and legal requirements.
- Establish and implement People initiatives within the New York market.
- Manage hiring and onboarding and oversee exit interviews and procedures.
- Assess reports provided by the HR team, team leaders and operations managers to determine employee performance and training needs
Experience that contributes to your success:
- Five to eight years in the HR field with increasing responsibility
- Prior professional services experience (PR, advertising, legal, consulting) strongly preferred
- Experience with performance management process, employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance development
- Experience and comfort with working directly with senior leadership
- Able to work with data: comfortable with and knowledgeable in setting up data collection and identifying key KPIs while using the data to drive business results.
- Excellent communications and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize workload and strong follow-through
- Creative problem solving and strategic thinking with strong business acumen
- Flexible and adaptable to changing business requirements
- A true team-player attitude
- Ability to think strategically while also providing hands-on HR expertise
