Responsibilities

The HR Operations Coordinator will provide critical transaction and project support to the HR Operations Unit. Under the guidance of the HR Operations Manager, the Coordinator will be responsible for several administrative components to help ensure the HR team has the tools, guidance, and resources to operate and deliver in the most efficient and effective manner.

The HR Operations Coordinator will primarily provide support to the HR Business Partner and HR Leadership Team on the employee lifecycle (hiring, on-boarding, and off-boarding), process mapping and improvement, electronic recordkeeping, policies, immigration, compliance, federal reporting, audit support, etc. for Arch Insurance, North America.

  • Under the oversight of the HR Operations Manager, assist with planning, coordination and execution HR projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Play an active role in HR initiatives and projects. Assist with tracking of KPIs.
  • Provide analytical reports related to HR as requested.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with HR budget tracking by processing invoices and expenses accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate contingent staffing tasks.
  • Process high volume of employee and HR team transactions via centralized mailbox system.
  • Coordinate on-boarding and off-boarding activities.
  • Provide miscellaneous support to HR team as needed.
  • Process HR Administrative tasks using company systems such as Workday, Smartsheet, and CoreIntegrator.
  • Assist ER Lead with various tasks such as maintaining accurate and confidential employee records, including documentation of investigations and performance management.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience ideally in Human Resources or Business Management.
  • A minimum of 3 years of directly related experience, particularly within HR or Operations.
  • Experience in Workday or similar HRIS platforms preferred.
  • Ability to perform administrative work of a complex nature with minimal direction.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate effectively regarding sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills required in both verbal and written form.
  • High level of personal integrity, discretion, and ethics.
  • Ability to synthesize data using reporting tools to define trends and systemic challenges

For individuals assigned or hired to work in California, Colorado, Jersey City, NJ; New York State; and/or Washington State, the base salary range is listed below. This range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$60,000 - $72,000/year

  • Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above range may be modified in the future
