Job Description

Blackstone is the world's largest alternative asset manager. We seek to create positive economic impact and long-term value for our investors, the companies we invest in, and the communities in which we work. We do this by using extraordinary people and flexible capital to help companies solve problems. Our $951 billion in assets under management include investment vehicles focused on private equity, real estate, public debt and equity, infrastructure, life sciences, growth equity, opportunistic, non-investment grade credit, real assets and secondary funds, all on a global basis. The Human Resources People Analytics Team is focused on providing actionable insights to help our partners in HR and Blackstone's businesses make faster, more sustainable, more strategic, and more cost-effective decisions. The role will report directly to and work in partnership with the Vice President of Workforce Planning and Analytics.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Design, build, and deliver effective Tableau dashboards to communicate the most important information and insights to our Business, Talent Acquisition, and HR leaders
  • Develop teammates' ability to use reporting tools and to identify key insights
  • Serve as analytics partner to several of our Business Units. This will require the team member to learn the needs of the business, scope out the right solutions, and roll up their sleeves to build high quality and sustainable products with help from their WPA teammates
  • Work to continuously enhance our reporting and analytics infrastructure, including helping to shape our roadmap, document critical information, and enhance our data warehouse
  • Create concise and effective executive level presentations to communicate actionable insights related to our talent, recruiting, and workforce planning processes
  • Deliver analyses focused on talent and diversity, leveraging analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data
  • Design and build solutions in Workday to make teammates' lives easier and to make processes more efficient
  • Advocate for clean HR data, and build tools and audits to help make this possible
  • Develop teammates' ability to use reporting tools and to identify key insights

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience building talent or recruiting dashboards with data visualization tools (Tableau preferred)
  • Demonstrably strong understanding of research methods and experimental design - including knowing when to use various models, how to test assumptions, and how to write effective survey questions
  • Ability to generate clear, concise, and (when appropriate) executive-ready actionable recommendations
  • Previous experience using a programming language (Python, R) for statistical analysis preferred
  • Experience querying with SQL and some knowledge of data warehousing best practices preferred, or willingness to learn with the support of your team (experience building reporting views in Snowflake is preferred)
  • Experience building reports directly in an HRIS system (preferably in Workday with experience building calculated fields, worklets, dashboards, and composite reports)
  • Some experience with text analysis, or an interest in learning
  • Clear history of supporting coworkers or peers in learning technical concepts
  • Interest in psychology, econometrics, and/or data science, with a history of continuous learning
  • Experience with technical documentation, project planning techniques, and a willingness to log work in project management software like JIRA

The duties and responsibilities described here are not exhaustive and additional assignments, duties, or responsibilities may be required of this position. Assignments, duties, and responsibilities may be changed at any time, with or without notice, by Blackstone in its sole discretion.

Expected annual base salary range:
