Primary Responsibilities

In the role of HR Representative, we'll count on you to:

• Assist the local and corporate HR Department with a variety of HR-related tasks

• Use corporate systems to maintain employee records and process personnel actions

• Provide completed employee paperwork to corporate office

• Review employee queries periodically for accuracy of information

• Answer basic policy and procedure questions as needed

• Schedule and coordinate interviews, presentations, meetings, training sessions and conference calls

• Plan and direct service anniversary celebrations with the HR manager

• Assist in the coordination of wellness activities for offices (flu shots, health fairs, health club discount programs, etc)

• Coordinate employee onboarding and termination activities as needed in conjunction with HR team

• Monitor various HR email boxes answering employees' questions and escalating as appropriate

• Demonstrate knowledge of HDR policies and procedures

• Understand basic HDR benefit plan provisions, in order to assist employees with benefit-related questions and issues, and refer more complex questions to Corporate HR

• Support the HR team with the South Central internship program processes including primary and backup duties of reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, calling candidates, entering offers, and keeping track of the status of each position

• Provide administrative support for HR team

• Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years related experience

• Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel

• Excellent verbal and written communication including proofreading, strong client service ability and excellent telephone skills

• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and various managers in a fast-paced environment

• Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented

• Ability to handle confidential information

• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business or related field
