Aktiv Pharma Group (‘Aktiv’) is a fast-growing, vertically integrated specialty pharmaceutical company with combination products CDMO capabilities, developing, manufacturing, and commercializing sterile-injectable products in a portfolio of proprietary, value-added, prefilled delivery systems. The company’s team of 80 employees harmonize all aspects of combination product development and manufacturing with effectively synchronized operations, including chemistry, device development, manufacturing equipment development, material science, quality and regulatory, in-house cleanroom assembly operations, and in-house sterile fill-finish. Aktiv commercializes drug products independently as well as supporting other pharmaceutical companies address unmet needs and create competitive advantage in the market. Aktiv leading products are proprietary emergency medicine in autoinjectors.

We are currently hiring a Human Resources Specialist
The Position: The Human Resource Specialist assists with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations.

- The compensation range for the Human Resources Specialist is $60,000 - $80,000 annually.

- This position will be on location, but flexible work arrangements can be discussed.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Leads Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) team.
- Coordinates contract and consultant hires. Partners with vendors to interview candidates. Maintain contractor and consultant agreements.
- Maintains accuracy of employee information in the HRIS database. Enters data from source documents into the HRIS including employee status change forms.
- Sets-up and maintains employee files both paper and electronically. Follows retention policy on purging of files.
- Provides general information to employees on benefits, polices, HR processes, etc.
- Review invoices for supplies, services, and luncheons to verify accuracy; and obtain approvals for payment.
- Follows up with employees and managers to complete biweekly timesheets and approvals in time for payroll processing.
- Own all aspects of I-9 compliance for all locations.
- Identify, suggest, document, and implement ongoing process improvements.
- Work collaboratively within a team to share ideas, ownership, and accountability for driving improvements and consistency of execution for key HR processes.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
- Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work independently and manage tasks with little supervision.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-to-year basis.
- At least one year of related experience required.
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
- Must have reliable transportation. Currently have multiple locations.
