Human Resources/Payroll Specialist

Job Summary:
The Human Resources/Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing employee payroll and benefits, administration of the learning management system (LMS), and managing Human Resource Information System (HRIS) transactions. The HR/Payroll Specialist is accountable for handling highly confidential information and tasks that include a diverse scope of global responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage global payroll processing cycles including payroll processing in the company HRIS/payroll systems, approvals, and associate support.
- Maintain compliance with all required documents for government reporting and supports HR and financial auditing needs.
- Update payroll information for promotions, transfers, reclasses, terminations and new hires.
- Run a multi-state and global payroll function.
- Assist with new state setup and reporting for state taxes for payroll purposes and submit tax payments.
- Assist with employee benefits program payments, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave programs.
- Responsible for HRIS entries for all HR modules including but not limited to recruiting, benefits, payroll, time management, performance management, onboarding, compensation management, and learning management.
- Oversee the educational reimbursement process and ensure payments are made in compliance with AESI policy and federal/state laws.
- Responsible for administration of Learning Management System (LMS) to assign training profiles and requirements, enter course content, assign course credit, run reports, and other process training related LMS transactions and requests.
- Supports transition of employees leaving the company.
- Maintains all employment records.
- Adhere to federal and state regulations.
- Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Predictable and reliable attendance.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional-level Human Resources professional experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience administering payroll.
- Experience in electronic time management systems preferred.
- Work experience should include knowledge of basic HR, payroll practices, benefits administration, and compliance.
- Working knowledge of applicable federal and state laws affecting benefit plan administration and enrollment.
- Ability to learn and manage global payroll processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working with HRIS, LMS, applicant tracking, and other electronic platforms.
- Experience with HRIS implementation preferred.
- Cornerstone LMS experience preferred.
