HVAC Service Manager

Job Title:HVAC Service Manager Reports to:General Manager Summary/Objective: We are seeking a skilled and talented HVAC Service Manager to lead our growing service department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, improving operational efficiency, and supporting technician development. This leadership role is vital to maintaining high standards in quality, safety, and client satisfaction. Essential Functions: • Supervise, schedule, and support a team of field HVAC technicians for commercial and residential. • Coordinate and manage daily dispatching and work orders to ensure timely job completion. • Utilize Service Titan to pull reports, technician commissions, financial performance, forecasting, presentations, and weekly accountability meetings. · Serve as the primary point of contact for service customers, resolving escalated issues and ensuring satisfaction. · Work with maintenance division to promote maintenance plans. • Conduct regular ride-along with Technicians and Comfort Advisors. • Monitor technician performance and productivity; provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing training. • Oversee repairs, diagnostics, and emergency service work across residential/light commercial and full commercial systems. • Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations. • Support invoicing accuracy and warranty processes. • Manage parts inventory and ensure vehicles are properly stocked. • Collaborate with sales and installation teams on project timelines, staffing, and customer needs. • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews of service techs. Required: • High school diploma or equivalent • Experience managing a team of +10 technicians. • At least 3 years of experience in HVAC in a supervisory or management role. • Valid Texas HVAC license (TACLA preferred); EPA Universal Certification required. • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (commercial and/or residential). • Familiarity with Houston area HVAC codes and climate. • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills. • Proficient in ServiceTitan. • Customer-focused with a proactive problem-solving mindset. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. • Strong mechanical aptitude • Basic understanding in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) • Must adhere to all company policy and procedures • Bilingual (proficiency in Spanish) a plus.
