HVAC Service Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC/R systems, appliance repair, and field service. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings. The HVAC Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and effectively while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC/R systems to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. • Perform routine maintenance on heating and cooling systems to ensure optimal performance. • Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, motors, and thermostats. • Utilize tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical circuits and components. • Install new HVAC equipment according to manufacturer specifications and local codes. • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while working on equipment. • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used during service calls. • Communicate effectively with clients regarding system performance, maintenance needs, and repairs required. • Drive company van to various job sites while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Skills • Proficient in HVAC/R systems installation, repair, and maintenance. • Strong knowledge of appliance repair techniques. • Experience with field service operations in the HVAC industry. • Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals related to HVAC systems. • Familiarity with using diagnostic tools including ohmmeters for electrical testing. • Skills in plumbing related to HVAC installations or repairs is a plus. • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on customer satisfaction. • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for van driving responsibilities.
