Job Description

Torch Technologies is seeking a Hypersonic Weapon System Analyst Scientist for the purpose of understanding end-to-end deficiencies in proposed Hypersonic Defensive Architectures. This will be accomplished through using Modeling and Simulation (M&S) to analyze existing capabilities amongst experts in a multi-disciplined collaborative environment with an existing technical team. Results will guide the decisions made on the development of new defensive systems against emerging threats. Many skills are desired to work in this environment:

All Candidates should demonstrate the following required skills:

• Analyze data to provide answers to determine performance and system capabilities
• Experience producing studies or analysis with defined assumptions
• Communication skills to articulate technical discoveries in a meaningful way to different levels personnel
• Assembling technical papers and briefing to describe answers to technical questions
• Leading studies of 2-3 analyst
• BS Degree in a technical field (Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering, etc.) from an Accredited University
• 10+ years of experience

Ideal Candidate will have some of the desired skills below:

• Modeling and Simulation of complex physics-based systems with Hypersonic affects
• Coding experience in C++, Python or MATLAB
• Develop Fire Control and Battle Management algorithms for real world scenarios
• Missile systems end to end kill chain knowledge
• Hypersonic Problems related to Seeker Windows
• Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC)
• Propulsion systems of interceptors including knowledge DACS (on applicable interceptors)
• Knowledge of IR and OPIR sensors
• Technical understanding of interceptors (SM3, SM6, THAAD or Patriot Systems)
• Leading a large diverse team of analyst, scientist, and modelers
• Aerodynamics
• MS or Phd. Degree in a technical field (Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering, etc.) from an Accredited University
