About this opportunity

This role will provide functional and technical management of an I4.0 software development team while promoting software development lifecycle maturity including, values, practices, and collaborations that support the scalable development of our systems. This role will work with local Automation, Disruption & Innovation, and IT groups to build and support innovative technology solutions that help enhance production efficiencies to consistently meet customer expectations.

What you will do

  • Lead a team of software developers that closely interact with the local I4.0 and Smart Factory Supply Site groups to develop, deploy, and support software solutions which will be used within a highly advanced and dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Develop solutions in an agile manner by working closely with product manager, product owner, and architecture roles to translate features and user stories into technical solutions.
  • Govern the implementation and ongoing management of the technical solutions to ensure quality delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with IT and I4.0 teams to drive continuous improvement of development tools, standards and processes relevant to Industry 4.0 Technologies.
  • Provide technical competence, and direction to the development team.

You will bring

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or engineering area or the equivalent level of experience
  • Minimum of 5 years software development experience
  • Minimum of 5 years at Ericsson (preferred) developing and integrating software, automation and robotic solutions
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment delivering technical solutions. Manufacturing environment experience in within Ericsson strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing and implementing advanced software solutions while integrating production technologies/hardware.
  • Experience using advanced technologies (Edge Computing, Cloud Services, IoT Sensors)
  • Knowledge in security standards and protocols as related to software development
  • Strong development skills (JAVA, C#, Python)
  • Experience leading teams or groups
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with Physical & Software Systems in highly critical infrastructure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation and problem solving skills

This role reports to the Manager of I4.0 Software Engineering & Architecture
