Your Role and Responsibilities
This position is for an experienced Software Engineer who will collaborate with colleagues ensuring high quality on data reporting and best practices are followed.
Candidate should have demonstrated written and verbal communication skills in English and should be capable of weighing customer needs against technical best practices.
Designs and builds solutions to move data from operational and external environments to the business intelligence environment using DataStage CloudPack or other platforms. Skills include designing and developing extract transform and load (ETL) processes. Experience includes full lifecycle implementation of the technical components of a business intelligence solution.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Minimum experience 4 years in the following topics
-Advanced DB SQL and store procedures
-Develop solutions for data extraction preparation and loading of data from a variety of relational and non-relational sources into the target data environment (ETL)
-DataStage
-Problem analysis and solving
-Code management version tools
-Solid understanding of relational database design and concepts
-Write/develop complex/critical SQL code
-Experience with database performance tuning
-Data modeling
-Perform production support related activities such as troubleshooting and testing addressing defects as needed

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Desirable programming skills on data management; Agile implementation; Design scalable and maintainable solutions in traditional structured data platforms as well as NoSQL (Cloudant) Hadoop Apache Spark Apache Kafka
