Your Role and Responsibilities
[Job Description]We are seeking a candidate with business and technology consulting experience and project management experience to serve as Engagement Manager for Apptio SaaS solution implementation projects primarily for new large enterprise clients. This position will be responsible for client engagements and will serve as an integrator of business needs and technology solutions. You will work closely with customers and the Apptio field delivery team to manage solution deployment project rollouts and have a direct impact on the value realized and the positive customer relationships built. [Business Description]– Lead multiple customer engagements implementing Apptio SaaS solutions following Apptio’s methodology and leveraging project management best practices.
– Develop effective and productive customer relationships and help Apptio become a trusted advisor to customer IT executives.
– Provide both engagement and TBM leadership to customers.
– Strive to understand the business problems to be solved and provide business insight to deploy solutions that exceed customer expectations.
– Gather functional and business requirements from customers and translate them into a functional design that aligns with customer needs/defined project scope to ensure successful implementation and deployment of Apptio solutions.
– Manage project team activities to meet schedules and milestones and drive technical success.
– Work with product management and development organizations to incorporate client feedback and solutions into future releases of the Apptio product suite.
– Collaborate with other internal departments to ensure client satisfaction and timely resolution of client issues.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
– Approximately 10+ years of systems implementation or consulting experience with at least 5 years as a senior consultant or project manager
– Ability to manage projects and execute according to defined methodologies and deliver projects within scope budget and schedule

– Consulting experience in enterprise systems implementation
– Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills

– Experience with package and application implementations

– Experience with data analysis projects
– Proven track record of negotiating with management and executives in a professional capacity
– Understanding of financial accounting management accounting and finance management disciplines.

– Specific knowledge and applied skills in IT services and financial management including budgeting cost allocation investment and expense management program and portfolio management and application and infrastructure support
– Operational knowledge of IT infrastructure areas such as data centers networking/communications server utilization virtual environments storage and application development and maintenance
