Your Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Sales Development Representative (Inside Sales) to work with Marketing and Sales to provide lead generation negotiation setup and sales support to the field sales team. This position requires inbound correspondence outbound email/calls consultative selling skills and close collaboration with sales to develop new customers and retain existing customers. You will also be expected to manage the pipeline and report on email/call activity for leads support events and campaigns and gather thorough information on Apptio products and IT financing and IT investment management. Professionalism confidence and a high level of motivation are required as you will be working directly with sales and various other departments.

Lead Acquisition
Develop and execute a strong prospecting strategy that includes call scripts customer segmentation and approach.
Select customers with high close rates and arrange sales appointments.
Conduct sales presentations as needed.
Follow up on all relevant customer information and lead management activities using SalesForce.com (including calls prospect pipeline account notes etc.)
Quickly learn the technical aspects of the product effectively communicate the value proposition and respond to objection handling competitive questions and other FAQs
Develop insight into the customerâs business understand the business problem to be solved and strive to provide solutions that exceed the customerâs expectations.
Collaborate with sales to optimize the productivity of the sales team.
Provide value-added market intelligence to the sales and customer success teams.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
ă»Approximately 2+ years of inside sales experience in an IT company
ă»Ability to cold call and conduct email campaigns to acquire potential clients
ă»Excellent communication teamwork analytical and problem solving skills
ă»Able to implement creative tactics to reach management in corporate IT departments
ă»Strong data analysis and sales tool use skills
ă»Ability to share best practices continuously improve processes and messaging and explain clearly and consistently to senior management
ă»Ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic and aggressive startup environment
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
ă»Enterprise and positional sales oriented.
ă»Experience in approaching each case carefully and strategically rather than in large numbers
ă»English language skills (reading and writing)
