Job Description

The application DINA (Detailed Inspection and Usage Analysis) is a 3-tier application for capturing unstructured measurement metrics that serve to support the capacity planning process. The application features a database, web portal, and application server. Data for application and server evaluation is gather by decentralized agents that work with standard algorithms and use security proven communication structures. The development of the DINA agents, DINA Back-End, and Front-End is done as a 'Telekom proprietary product'. As infrastructure platform we mainly use the Telekom Private Cloud with DBaaS on Oracle Exadata. Additionally, we have two new Classic LINUX systems in prod and one AIX and one Solaris test server.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• We are looking for an engineer who is very experienced in operating systems and the scanners used in Tel-IT
• Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures, including internal penetration and vulnerability scans
• Experience with Tel-IT scanners, in particular SIUX, Taste OS, Qualys
• Interpretation of scanner results and implementation of resulting adjustments
• Experiences with current SSH encryptions
• Development of measures for server hardening
• Analysis of modifications in new operating system versions
• Close cooperation with the team and stakeholders for the continuous development of the application is desired.
• Development of technical solutions to increase cloudification and automation in the infrastructure environment.
• Participation in the planning, definition of the design of DINA and investigation of solution alternatives
• Collaboration in an international agile DevOps team.

Qualifications

YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU:

• Have minimum 5 years experience at ICT System Engineering - UNIX/LINUX
• Experiences with CICD/GitLab
• Knowledge of shell script and Java is welcome
• Speak English at least on B2 level

Salary

Final salary is negotiable.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 1300 € /brutto.
